Melissa has also worked with dynamic and celebrated talent such as Mel Gibson, Whoopi Goldberg, Garth Brooks, Claudia Schiffer and Ben Stein.

Melissa has contributed to several meaningful and close to her heart projects; with her director husband, she co-produced and cast for PSA's including 'Balloons' for infant mortality and maternal health, 'Teenager' for awareness for victims of terror, and 'Sex Drive' for AIDS awareness for teens. The 'Sex Drive' project was cast in fourteen languages including Swahili, Hindi, Cantonese, Arabic and Tagalog and was aired internationally on MTV.

Melissa's true passion, however, is casting. Her talent is to help directors tell their story whether it be a thirty second commercial or a two hour feature film. She enjoys working with the director and creative team to achieve their vision and to find not just extraordinary, but the perfect talent for every type of project.

Melissa earned her Masters Degree in Theater Arts at California Institute of the Arts. Abesera Casting is a Los Angeles based company.
